1,000 Word Fridays: Week 6 | Personal

Well whaddyaknow, I started doing 1,000 Word Fridays because Friday was my least-busy day and one in which I'd have plenty of time to post pictures....and ever since I started it Friday has been my busiest day all week!!

So that's why it's 7:00 in the morning and I'm posting pictures that should have been posted yesterday. :D

Week 6!
The light shining on/through the leaves was so pretty yesterday morning...
A lizard was enjoying it, too...
I kept forgetting to take a picture of the purse I made a couple weeks ago! I used this pattern (found on Pinterest) and I really like how it turned out. It's pretty simple to make and the perfect size!...
Back Bay in Biloxi...it's a lot prettier now that the "islands" aren't all brown. :)
I have a rather funny liking of Ford trucks, and while we were sitting in the car, waiting for Daddy to get shrimp, I figured I'd take a picture of the brand new one next to us. :)
If you aren't from the Coast you won't get the significance of the shark head picture but y'all. That building and great big ol' jaws were landmarks here for years and years- Katrina all but destroyed it and just last year they started rebuilding!!! So maybe one day (this year?) you'll see pictures of Sharkheads Souvenirs. :D
We got to visit with a very dear friend who has been like a grandmother to Sarah and me ever since we were 2 years old...
And Sarah and I celebrated our birthday a day early with frappuccinos!

I'll hopefully post pictures (and video!) this week of an amaaaaaazing concert we went to featuring the Annie Moses Band...and Sarah's getting-ready-for-the-wedding pictures. Still workin' on it. :)

Have a great week!

Because of Jesus,

Rebekah

1,000 Word Fridays: Week 5 | Personal

I really honestly did want to post this yesterday but it's been craaaaaazy busy 'round here getting ready for a certain somebody's wedding today! :)

I didn't take many pictures this week other than 601 for Sarah's bridal shoot and the 473 for her family's pictures....yeah, over 1000 in one week! (My camera passed up the 10,000-images-taken mark, by the way...in a little over one year!)

So, here you go- Week 5 of 1,000 Word Fridays:
First coat of nail polish and comfy new flip-flops...
Sweet little Callie girl...
Spring has sprung! And is almost gone!...
A last-minute and wonderfully fun visit with our dear friend Scarlett...we had fun with Photo Booth on my computer!...

And! A sneak peek of a family photo shoot I'll be posting in the next few days!

Have a wonderful week and weekend!

Because of Jesus,
Bekah

1,000 Word Fridays: Week 4 | Personal

I know, I know. I didn't get this posted yesterday. Well, there's a reason...a long busy day, and a bright shiny object pictured below that took 3 hours to get fully set up...so by the time I was actually able to get pictures posted it was nearly midnight!

So here you go, Week 4 of 1,000 Word Fridays!

Watching my favorite movie ever, The Glenn Miller Story (the scene in the picture is my favorite - the band playing "Pennsylvania 6-5000" for Glenn and Helen on their 10th anniversary)...
I may or may not have had coffee AND a chocolate chip cookie AND a brownie one afternoon...
Weeds can be pretty sometimes!...
The flag flying in the breeze...
Cardinals absolutely crack me up...
It's the last weekend for the horse show, so we went out there yesterday morning...
I made my great-grandmother's biscuits so we could have them with sausage for breakfast the next morning...
And yes, Daddy and I went halves on a very nice birthday present. :-)

By the way, I got a new *free* watermark software since my other one wouldn't work for some reason - it's called Jet Photo Studio and you can get it here: http://www.jetphotosoft.com/web/home/  It's very user-friendly and works really well!

I had the great blessing of taking pictures for a certain bride-to-be on Tuesday...and the wedding is on the 24th...so be on the lookout for a post within a couple days after that! I can hardly wait to show the pictures to you - Sarah is a beautiful bride!

Because of Jesus,
Bekah Hope

1,000 Word Fridays: Week 3 | Personal

Another week has come and gone! This one sure flew by...and it was wonderful!

Spring has sprung and of course that means lots of pictures of all the beautiful things in bloom...
I had fun playing around with the late-afternoon sun...
Daddy and Sarah came home on Wednesday after 5 weeks of taking care of our grandparents/helping them move into an assisted living--happy happy day!
The dogs were glad to see them, too...
(In case you're wondering, they towed my grandfather's car since he doesn't need it anymore; my grandmother still has hers)...
Daddy discovered that the Daisy pellet gun his dad had when he was little is somewhere around 97 years old...
It rained this morning and the water droplets on the dogwood blooms were so pretty...

Enjoy!

(do you see the bees??)

That wraps things up for this week! Hope yours was as wonderful as mine!

Because of Jesus,
Bekah Hope

PS--guess what?!? I actually FINISHED my Favorite Things Project and ordered the prints! Can you believe it?!? I'll post the rest in the next few days. :-)
